How do i organize for a friends garage sale?

im helping my friend, hold a garage sale, and she’s letting me sell some of my stuff. its next sat. and i want to get started now, just because my room is gross, and needs a good cleaning. so mostly i just need some ideas or tips, on to organize my room after im done and where to keep all the sell stuff.

Price each item with a sticker on it. Have boxes numbered
$1 or less, $2 to $5, $6 to $10, $11 to 15, and over $15, keep a close eye on the boxes or box. Have a special box or boxes for valuable breakables. During the garage sale, stay close to the expensive items. When I have had sales, some people get sticky fingers, especially with jewellery and perfumes. If the jewellery is very expensive, wear it with for sale on it. Write down on a pad the number of boxes you have and what they’re worth, Example Box 1 – $1 or less. Large items, write down price on pad and price tag them. They have a category by themselves. Such as a list titled large items. “Push large items at sale to help clear out your room.” Everything will be accounted for and neatly in boxes except for the large items or valuable items. Your friend can do the same. You on one side of the lot or whatever and your friend on the other side.

If someone is buying a few items, keep a list while they look around keep a list of items and prices they are paying, otherwise you’ll forget with all the actively going around you.

Or you can have breakable boxes numbered and non-breakable boxes numbers. A box with valuables. Of course, you just write number l, 2, or 3, on each box accordingly to what is in it. On your pad will show:- example box 1 breakables, Box 2 non-breakables, or whatevery you want to call them. Your inventory of boxes and large items on the pad will keep you organized. And, of course, keep your things separate from your friends, so that customers will know who to pay. Have lots of change, small bills and coins. After you’re done, if the prices are right, your boxes will be gone. VERY IMPORTANT….Put enough signs up with arrows. Arrows are actually more important than addresses, because when people are driving they see the arrow quickly. Don’t waste your time writing what you’re selling. Just say BIG SALE. People already know what a garage sale has. Don’t let customer get you in an argument. State your price, and if your price is fair.don’t bother answering unless you want to barter.
