best product to kill ants in your home thats safe around kids?

I have a small ant infestation in my kitchen corner. I dont see them any where else. My house is pretty clean in my opinion. They are small black ants and they are very organized. they live in the wall trim and only come out in a straight line to run to a spill or a crumb and back. I go for a week or so without seeing them and the first time I miss a spot cleaning my kitchen I see them run out to get it. What can I use to kill them without worring about my one and 2 year old getting sick?

Aspartame….the sugar substitute…kills fire ants in my yard…..scary thought, but it works. Never tried it in the house, but it should work.
