Successful on-line marketers pl. help. I advertise on safe-lists to millions but get not a single sale?
I am trying marketing as affiliate of most selling products on net. I advertise to millions, as they claim, thru safelists. But why I don’t get any response? Pl. guide.
Your first step is to be aware that you are competing with a LOT of people on safelists. Most of them are not there to actually read emails and ads. They are there to advertise their own offers and, in exchange, they have agreed to receive other ads and offers.
So your first challenge is going to be capturing their attention. That is the job of your subject line. It has to be compelling and it has to quickly answer the question that is always on the readers’ minds:
“What’s in it for me?”
If your subject line doesn’t scream out a major benefit right up front, your email is lost in a sea of other emails that are going out in that same safelist.
You may have to test a few different subject lines to see which one is working the best for you.
Next comes the body of your message. It has to answer the same question:
“What’s in it for me?”
And because you are competing with a LOT of other safelist advertisers, your ad copy has to be very compelling.
Someone once said that the only reason for any particular line of copy to appear in an ad should be to get the reader to read the next line.
Every line has to draw the reader in to your offer.
So now we are down to the actual offer itself.
What should your objective be?
If you are trying to sell people right up front with your safelist ad, you are going to face an uphill battle.
Safelist advertising works best as a lead generation tool. Instead of trying to sell someone your product, service, or opportunity in that safelist ad, focus on capturing their attention and getting them to subscribe to an AutoResponder for follow-up.
In my own safelist advertising, I offer people a free report to show them how they can boost online sales with autoresponders.
When they click the link in my ad, they are taken to a form that asks for their name and email address. That form subscribes them to my AutoResponder.
Now they are a valuable and targeted lead. They get to receive free information and I get to follow up with them to try and close the sale after I have spent a little time letting them get to know and become comfortable with me.
One final note about safelist advertising (and any other advertising). I recommend using an AdTracker of some sort to track which safelists are giving you the best response. It pays in many ways to know where your advertising results are coming from.
